Financial Wellbeing Officer – Call Center

Area’s: Edenvale

Here’s What You Will Be Doing:

Target Success: Be target-driven, especially in acquiring new business.

Relationship Resilience: Have the ability to build and nurture strong business relationships with corporate partners and clients.

Sales Superpower: Possess exceptional sales ability and persuasive communication skills.

Communication Expert: Have active listening skills and proficiency in both verbal and written communication in English and at least one local South African language.

Here’s What We Look For:

Matric/Grade 12 qualification. A post-matric business-related qualification is a plus.

Tech Savvy: Demonstrate a good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.

Sales Savvy: Bring 2+ years of experience in a sales/call centre role.

Debt Review Experience: Prior exposure to a debt review environment or familiarity with MAXIMUS software is advantageous.

Dynamic Connections with Clients: Engage with clients through calls and face-to-face interactions, introducing a range of Octogen products and services designed for financial wellbeing and debt review.

Proactive Lead Pursuit: Reach out and follow up on leads, exploring opportunities to assist clients on their journey to financial freedom.

Seamless Debt Review Assistance: Guide clients through the Debt Review application process, making it easy and facilitating referrals to our expert Debt Counsellors.

Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain valuable relationships with Old Mutual Finance branch employees, ensuring collaborative success.

Effortless Communication: Act as a liaison between clients and the New Business department, ensuring clarity and smooth operations.

Human Capital Supervisor

To co-ordinate, implement and support all aspects of human resource practices and processes to ensure a happy and productive workforce that drives the company objectives and employee wellbeing.

Responsibilities:
▪ Support and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business
strategy.
▪ Maintain HR systems and processes
▪ Nurture a positive working environment.
▪ Manage the recruitment, interviewing, selection and onboarding process.
▪ Investigate training needs, develop training materials and monitor the utilisation of
training programs.
▪ Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
and employee retention.
▪ Drafting and updating of job profiles and performance management programs/tools
to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
▪ Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
▪ Support management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or
other issues by investigating employee issues and conflicts and provide resolution.
▪ Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently and up to date with relevant
regulations.
▪ Manage, support and provide guidance to HR staff making sure the HR team support
the business.
▪ Assist with any responsibilities that may arise within the organisation.

Requirements & skills:

Senior Finance Manager

To plan, implement, manage and control all finance activities of the Octogen Group, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting tracking cash flow, financial planning, analysing the company’s financial strengths and weaknesses to mitigate risk and propose corrective action.

Responsibilities:
• Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team.
• Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team.
• Carry out a range of accounting tasks, typically review reports and data from various divisions within the company.
• Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the
preparation of all financial reporting
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Preparation of monthly financial reporting, annual financial statements, annual
audits / reviews, and budget preparation.
• Translate financial data into practical information for all levels of seniority across the
organization as well as effective payroll administration.
• Oversee managing employee relations, including employee grievances and
disciplinaries. This includes providing advice on employment legislation and keeping up to date with employment laws.
• Any ad-hoc duties as might be required from time to time.

Requirements & skills:
• Experience within the financial services.
• Accounting knowledge and ability to research issues and follow through with
appropriate resolution
• Abilith to engage with people on a professional level and drive a relationship.
• Previous experience with General Ledger, Month-end, and Accounts receivable /
payable necessary and budgets and month-end deliveries
• Data literacy: Dashboards, reports, HR analysis techniques, familiar with data
collections techniques, setting up and tracking metrics.
• Excellent Excel capabilities
• Can do attitude.
• Risk management, attention to detail and organisational culture and transformation
skills

Qualifications:
• Qualified B. Com graduates (or equivalent qualifications), with a high level of energy
will be considered for this role.

Training Facilitator

A facilitator is responsible for the compiling and co-ordination of appropriate training material in accordance with business requirements and goals, upskilling employees to perform productively. The primary focus of the role is to provide timely and precise training to different audiences withing Octogen with the primary focus on onboarding sales personnel.

Responsibilities:
▪ Develop and update Training material in line with the business needs and objectives.
▪ Co-ordinate and provide effective training in a fun and understandable manner to enhance learning experience and outcomes.
▪ Assist with the training an onboarding of sales teams to equip them to deliver sales
targets.
▪ Collaborate with department managers to ascertain suitability for training schedules
and delivery of training.
▪ Liaise with external training providers to collaborate on training delivery.
▪ Review training practices and ensure training is delivered in line with company policy
and regulations.
▪ Keep track of the training schedule, ensuring timely arrival at training sessions.
▪ Develop regular reports to evidence training and improvement in training attendance
and delivery.
▪ Implement appropriate training assessment and monitor learning success and provide
additional training when required.
▪ Evaluate training initiatives and coordinate the delivery of certificates of training
successful completion to personnel.
▪ Any ad-hoc duties as might be requited from time to time

Requirements & skills:
▪ Good understanding and knowledge of the business workflow processes, policies,
systems, strategies and Debt Counselling Process/Act.
▪ Strong understanding of the impact and benefits training
▪ Ability to communicate with internal and external team members
▪ Strong communication and listening skills, both written and verbal
▪ Group dynamic management
▪ Sensing the energy level of trainees and motivate positive learning
▪ Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
▪ Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
▪ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office platforms
▪ Ability to multi-task and prioritize own workload

Qualifications:
▪ Grade 12 or NQF level 4 equivalent
▪ Minimum of 3 year of previous experience in a training role
▪ Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role or leadership role
▪ A thorough understanding of the National Credit Act & the debt review process.
